Samantha Waterfield has been practising complementary therapy for 14 years, first training in Swedish massage whilst working as a Eurobond broker in the City of London. After leaving the city to have children, she undertook a degree course in complementary medicine, which she completed in 2006. This involved working voluntarily in the Helen Rolanson Cancer Centre in Chelmsford and for them at the North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton, treating clients with cancer, in remission and their carers.
Her current disciplines include clinical aromatherapy, Indian Head massage, reflexology and hot stone massage, Reiki and she teachers meditation individually and to groups. She has recently trained in Ayurvedic medicine and sells health foods and natural cosmetics as part of Elysium. She also runs health food workshops and recently led a very successful detox retreat in Zahara, southern Spain.
Ciara Waterfield is studying for a level 6 diploma in professional musical theatre at CPA studios, and this blog will be shown through her circumstances as a performer, and her need to be as fit and healthy as possible for the industry, whilst staying within a suitable budget for a student. She is constantly learning from others and experiencing, and wishes to convey this through the art of blogging.
